All trunks and boxes are sanded inside and out. The inside is finished with low odour water based urethane. Any metal is wire wheeled and painted with black (flat) rust paint. External wood is treated with several coats of Tung Oil. Tung oil preserves the wood and produces a lovely durable finish while bringing out the natural color of the wood.
